Batteries contained in devices must be securely installed. 33 Ammonium nitrites and mixtures of an inorganic nitrite with an ammonium salt are prohibited. 335 Mixtures of solids that are not subject to this subchapter and environmentally hazardous liquids or solids may be classified as Environmentally hazardous substances, solid, n.o.s, UN3077 and may be transported under this entry, provided there is no free liquid visible at the time the material is loaded or at the time the packaging or transport unit is closed. 200 Division 1.4G consumer fireworks may be certified for transportation by a DOT-approved Fireworks Certification Agency in accordance with the provisions of 173.65 of this subchapter. The device must be in the vapor space when the tank is filled under maximum filling conditions. 332 Magnesium nitrate hexahydrate is not subject to the requirements of this subchapter. Primary receptacles must be further packed in non-specification bulk outer packagings such as cubic yard boxes, plastic rigid-wall bulk containers, dump trailers, and roll-off containers. 387 When materials are stabilized by temperature control, the provisions of 173.21(f) of this subchapter apply. In making this determination factors to be taken into consideration include, but are not limited to, the capacity and geometry of the packaging and the effect of any insulation present, the temperature of the material when offered for transport, the duration of the journey, and the ambient temperature conditions typically encountered in the journey (considering also the season of year), the effectiveness and other properties of the stabilizer employed, applicable operational controls imposed by regulation (e.g., requirements to protect from sources of heat, including other cargo carried at a temperature above ambient) and any other relevant factors.
